Individual Achievement Plan Review Evening
On Wednesday, 7th October 2026, we will host our Individual Achievement Plan (IAP) review evening at Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy for students currently on the SEND register. This is an opportunity for you to visit the academy, meet the SEND support team, and review your child’s IAP.
The IAP is an important document that helps staff understand your child’s strengths, needs, and the strategies that are most effective in supporting them within the classroom and wider school. It ensures that all people working with your child have a clear overview of the reasonable adjustments and adaptive approaches that help your child thrive and achieve.
The information contained within the IAP is shared with teaching and support staff and is used to:
- Raise awareness of your child’s individual needs.
- Inform classroom planning and adaptive teaching strategies.
- Highlight successful approaches and support arrangements.
- Promote consistency in the support your child receives across subjects.
- Enable staff to build upon your child’s strengths and interests.
We recognise that you, as parents and carers, are the experts in your own child. Your views are therefore an important part of ensuring that the information we hold is accurate, relevant, and reflective of your child’s current needs and so our IAP evenings are an opportunity for us to work together to ensure that the IAP truly is a full reflection of your child.
The evening will run from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, and you can book appointments through the online Parent Evening booking system below.
If you are unable to attend on the set date, but would still like to discuss your child’s IAP with us, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we will find an alternative time to meet/discuss with you.
